3-Layer Hydrophilic Foam Dressing with Silver and Silicone Adhesive border

ALLEVYN* Ag GENTLE BORDER is an absorbent antimicrobial dressing with Silver Sulfadiazine and silicone adhesive, for the treatment of moderate to highly exuding wounds in critical colonization or infection. Especially indicated for patients with fragile or delicate perilesional skin. It provides a moist healing environment that promotes the healing process and controls the presence of microorganisms in the lesion bed.

Characteristics:

• Provides sustained release of silver into the wound bed.
• It absorbs a large amount of exudate.
• Silicone adhesive that protects the perilesional area in patients with fragile and delicate skin and allows peeling and re-gluing.
• Its outer layer is impermeable to water and bacteria, but lets out exudate in the form of steam. It is not occlusive.
