3-Layer Hydrophilic Foam Dressing with Adhesive Edge

ALLEVYN CLASSIC ADHESIVE is a highly absorbent adhesive hydrocellular foam designed for use on moderate to highly exuding wounds. ALLEVYN CLASSIC has an advanced triple-layer design to provide a moist healing environment that promotes the healing process. It is indicated for chronic and acute, full thickness, partial thickness or granulated wounds, including: lower limb ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, surgical wounds, infected wounds and burns (first and second degree). Clinically supported for the Prevention of Pressure Injuries.

Characteristics:

• Highly absorbent.
• It retains the exudate in its central layer. It can be used under compressive bandages.
• Its outer layer is impermeable to water and bacteria, but lets out exudate in the form of steam. It is not occlusive.
• Hypoallergenic adhesive.
• Easy to remove. It does not adhere, does not disintegrate and does not cause pain to the patient.
• Minimizes dressing changes. It can remain in the wound for up to 7 days or according to the protocol of each institution.
• Maintains its cushioning effect under pressure and releases pressure, which allows its use to prevent and heal pressure injuries.
• Sterile in Gamma Radiation.
